At the 2026 InnoHK showcase, PowerSAC presented two milestone results: a 1,200V GaN power module prototype and a high-density converter reference design for 48V DC power architectures.

1,200V GaN module prototype

The module uses a device structure and packaging approach designed in-house, demonstrating lower conduction and switching losses at full load. Target applications include on-board chargers and industrial power supplies.

Reference design for AI power delivery

The second exhibit targets 48V server power architecture, raising power density in the same footprint through higher switching frequency and improved magnetics — a reference for next-generation AI accelerator power.

"A prototype is only the starting point. The next step is to turn it into a manufacturable solution with our industry partners."

Both results will undergo long-term reliability validation on the centre's test platform, with joint development expected to begin in 2027.
